Smith, Steve

Remember that 1979 football season when Steve Smith rewrote the Flint-area record books as Grand Blanc’s quarterback?
What many people don’t know is he played the entire season with a broken kneecap.

Anyone who was around back then surely recalls the Bobcats’ epic 51-50 victory over a Beecher team that featured two future NFL players

Flash forward to Smith’s senior year at the University of Michigan, a season in which he led Michigan to a 9-2 record and a berth in the
Sugar Bowl.
