Petrill, Jack | Distinguished Service Award

Petrill is known as an outstanding promoter whose efforts attracted some of biggest athletic events in Flint history, including the General Motors Tri-State Amateur Boxing Tournament in 1936, attended by 22,000 at Atwood Stadium. He was the Recreation Director of the Industrial Mutual Association, a member of the Flint Park Board chairman of the Michigan Amateur Athletic Association and an appointee to the 1932 United States Olympic Committee.
