Thousands of boys and girls in the Flint area were introduced to athletics through the generosity of the Mott Foundation. The Foundation generally was started just for that purpose, eventually growing into adult programs, too. The Foundation later established a community format copied nationwide. It was reward enough for Mott’s love of children and sports.
