Morrow was a defenseman on the U.S. hockey team that won the Olympic gold medal in 1980. That same year, he joined the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League and helped them to four straight Stanley Cups. He was the Flint area’s first NHL player and stayed with the Islanders for 10 seasons. Morrow was an All-American at Bowling Green State University.
