As the golf coach at Flint Junior College, Jarrard’s teams fashioned a gaudy record of 495-75 while winning 18 state championships in his 33 year career and reaching the national tournament finals 10 times. Jarrard directed the Flint Junior Golf Program from 1950-60. He won numerous city and state tournaments as an amateur player, was captain of the Michigan State University golf team and later became the golf professional at Willow Wood Country Club.
