Crim and Craig helped make Flint a prominent spot in international road racing through the Crim 10-Mile Road Race, known as one of the top races in the nation. Crim founded the race in 1977, and Craig was the original race director. The Crim later was expanded to several races and attracted 11,638 participants in 1991. Crim races have raised more than $1 million for charity.
