Blamer compiled a winning average of .722 in superb basketball coaching career at Flint Tech High and Flint Junior College. At Flint Tech, Blamer’s teams were 101-52, winning three district championships, one regional crown and reaching the final four in the state high school tournament. His Flint JC teams won five conference championships. Blamer guided the Bears to three regional titles in the national junior college tournament including in 1961 when they reached the national semifinals.
