Donoghue will always be remembered as one of the most effective promoters in Flint history. Through his endeavors, Flint became a hotbed for professional wrestling. Donoghue, who won the state welterweight championship, promoted professional wrestling for 37 years, holding a state license longer than any promoter in Michigan. The bouts held at IMA Auditorium regularly attracted crowds of 5,000.
