Sweet was one of Northern High’s four famed “Wonder Boys” who in three years never lost a football game and won 34 straight in basketball and two successive State Class A championships from 1938-40. Called by Guy Houston one of the two best coaching prospects ever to graduate from Northern. Sweet guided Dye High to the State Class C football championship in 1951.
