A standout at Flint J.C. which compiled perhaps the greatest junior college season ever in Flint with a 23-1 record in 1954-55, that included five victories over four-year college basketball programs. Turning his talents to golf, became the professional at the Flint Elks Country Club. He kept the flame of professional golf burning in the Flint area after the original Buick Open tournament was canceled with his organizational and promotional skills that were largely responsible for the tournament’s return.
