Two-time honorable mention All-American halfback at Michigan State in 1946 and ’48. Ranked 13th nationally in total offense at Michigan State after gaining 1,029 yards in 1946. Selected for the 1948 North-South College All-Star football game. Earned All-Saginaw Valley Conference honors after helping Central High to League Championship in 1941.
