Gorman, Michael | Distinguished Service Award

Gorman, who was editor of The Flint Journal from 1928-58, was known as “Flint’s Spark Plug”. He led the drive to create the College and Cultural Center and to establish a branch of the University of Michigan in Flint. Gorman was a strong supporter of athletic and recreational programs. He was a member of numerous local, state and national organizations.
