An outstanding athlete in football and track at Northern High in the 1940’s, Hamilton later became a standout baseball and softball player. A member of the Michigan Softball Hall of Fame and the Michigan Amateur Sports Hall of Fame, Hamilton was selected to the All-World Softball team in 1945.
