Regarded as Flint’s greatest softball pitcher for more than 25 years, Doyle hurled his American United Life team to the 1977 American Softball Association championship. At age 49, he threw a no-hitter in the ASA tournament in 1983. He also pitched in the 1980 Pan-American Games.
