All-City, All-Saginaw Valley Conference, All-State, All-American, All-Pro. Chandnois established Michigan State University football records on offense and defense, which stood the test of time. He was named the NFL Player of the Year in 1952. For 24 years he held the NCAA record for yards returned with pass interceptions. Twice he led the NFL in kickoff returns. Chandnois has been a member of the Hall of Fame selection committee since 1993.
