The press party or press release is an official event where the Greater Flint Area Sports Hall of Fame announces to the public/community the selected candidates who will be enshrined into the Greater Flint Area Sports Hall of Fame. This will include the 8 individual inductees, 3 teams, and student-athletes who accept the honor. It is a marketing tool used to increase the visibility of the Greater Flint Area Sports Hall of Fame and is held on the first Wednesday in October just before the December Hall of Fame Ceremony. It's also attended by dignitaries, families, friends, and new media.
